Anyone who knows me knows that I love football. I am particularly attached to my hometown team, the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks arrived in Seattle in 1976. I was 11 years old, a “jock” and a sports nut. We were elated that we had gotten NFL football. I was at the first regular season Seahawks game in the Kingdome, a game we almost won over the then-St. Louis Cardinals. I have been a fan ever since.

I am also a big fan of beer, microbrews in particular. I am proud of my hometown in this respect too. Seattle is a mecca for beer (as Washington is a mecca for wine). So you can imagine my pride when I discovered this post this morning on my favorite beer blog, HopHeadSaid, that places Seattle number one in NFL cities when it comes to breweries. Seattle has 29 breweries, more than any other city in the NFL!
