Adlai And Estes Pin:
A form of a pin that was beginning to be made was the Adlai and Estes pin, which represented the campaign election of Adlai Stevenson, as president, and Estes Kefauver as vice president. The use of Adlai and Estes as the printed text on the pin helps introduce whom people will be voting for, in relation to the president and vice president. In addition, the colors being used: red white and blue, has the relation of the American flag to show the country they are running for, to give it more of a live color and representation. In addition to the form of how the pin is clipped, the pin folds over in the back to have an easier way to clip to the shirt.
All The Way With Adlai Stevenson Pin:
This metallic pin, with the saying "All the way with Adlai Stevenson", was another form of a pin that demonstrated advertisements for Adlai Stevenson's campaign. The image of the Californian outline was used to show the state in which he planned to get the majority of the votes. This was crucial for the number of votes he intended to get. As for the back portion of the pin, the needle outline was used to attach to clothing and this was one of the forms of pins that picked people and their skin.
Stevenson Pin:
This blue pin, imprinted with the white "Stevenson" printing was an original pin that is made out metal. The color of clue represented the democratic color: blue. This Stevenson pin was simple but went straight to the point as to whom it was representing. This pin had a form of soft metal that helped as the needle portion, but rather than a needle is was a piece of metal that was able to clip into cloth and all one had to do was bend the piece.
Adlai Stevenson Shoe Pin:
During the running years for the campaign election of 1956-1960, Adlai Stevenson created a pin, which is the shape of a shoe with a small hole like cutting in the middle of the shoe, which represents the idea that Adlai Stevenson is not like the common man. Many were to believe that most presidents and/or candidates were to have the ideal nice suit, shoes, ties, etc., but like Adlai, he showed a different side of himself. There is a picture of Adlai Stevenson showing how Adlai had his feet placed on top of his desk and there seemed to be a hole in his shoe. When people saw this image, they viewed Adlai Stevenson as a different man, who was a man for the people. By having the hole in his shoe, pins were created for the campaign election of 1956. This campaign pin was made out of pure metal and as the metal pin clip, it was a needle that clips into a small attachment to stop the pocking of the needle.
